For space week we have been exploring how craters are created. Working as a group we took a closer look at the moon and discussed how we thought the craters cold be made.
Then we got the chance to perform some scientific experiments and record our findings. Using two spherical objects, one being a larger but lighter ping pong ball, the other a smaller but heavier bouncy ball we measured the size of the craters that they made. We then compared our findings and noticed that all the students got the same result.
Which do you think created the largest crater? 🤔
A Great way to celebrate “Space Week” 🌒
